The blunderbuss has an unsigned steel lock plate, steel sprung bayonet and original ramrod. The barrel, butt plate and trigger guard are of brass, as is the brass escutcheon plate.

Please be careful with the sprung bayonet, it releases and deploys with a very strong spring.

~ Dimensions ~

The blunderbuss measure inches 29 (73 cm) without the bayonet deployed. The barrel is 14 inches (35.5 cm), the bayonet is 12 inches (30 cm). The bore at the muzzle is 28mm. It weighs 2.3Kg.

~ Condition ~

The barrel is tidy with very light knocking, nothing severe.

The lock plate is clean with very minimal pitting.

It half cocks, cocks and releases with a strong spring as does the bayonet.

The stock is excellent, no significant chips, a short tight crack on the right side near the butt plate, just the usual minor bruising.
