~ Circa 1790 Fine 8 Day Welsh Longcase Clock by Evan Williams Of Neath ~
This is a fine quality clock with an engraved brass dial featuring moon and tidal indication (High water at Neath).
The face bears the clock-smiths name on its middle section and has a subsidiary dial for seconds and an arched date aperture.
The main numerals, for hours, are Roman and the secondary ones, for minutes, are Arabic.
The clock is a 8 day twin train movement with an anchor escapement and hour repeat.
Its oak case is beautifully proportioned with a lovely aged patina and swan neck hood.

The clock stands 85 inches (215.9 cm) high it is 19 ½ wide (49.93 cm) (at its base, the widest point) and 9 ½ (24.13 cm) deep.
~ Condition ~
The clock was recently overhauled with new bushing, it has been serviced and is in full working order.
