~ Chinese Qing Dynasty Nephrite Jade Pendant Of A Mountain ~
A lovely hand carved Jade Mountain, it has a hole carved into it at the top to be used as a pendant, and it dates to Qing Dynasty era or possibly earlier.
The nephrite jade is chalky pale beige (known as 'white' jade) in colour.
It is an object of mediation for the desk of a scholar. The depiction on it symbolizes the way to enlightenment. It shows the passing through the tree of life, over bridges and water to the little temple on the rear.
