A large and heavy Chinese jade carving of a mountain.

This would have been for the desk of a scholar. It is adorned with symbols of luck and longevity including the tree of life, peaches and a deer.

The carving is of a grey, partly coloured nephrite jade and dates to the Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or earlier.

~ Dimensions ~

The piece measures 21.5 cm (8 ½ inches) by 10 cm (4 inches) by 6.5 cm (2 ½ inches).

It weighs 1.33 Kg.

~ Condition ~

The piece is in very nice condition with no damage.
