~ Chinese c300 AD Han Dynasty Stoneware Storage Pot ~
A Chinese glazed stoneware storage pot.
It is a simple piece of stoneware pottery, a provincial piece most likely used for food storage.
The pot is of bulbous form with a pale wash glaze with simple stroke work decoration in a blue/grey tone.
~ Dimensions ~
The pot has a diameter of 13.5cm (5 ¼ inches) and a height of 13.5cm (5 ¼ inches).
It weighs 565g.
~ Condition ~
The pot has some rough edges and small areas of missing glaze but these are not damage but merely how the pot was made, it being a simple functional piece rather than a thing of quality and beauty.
The only damage is a little chipping to the rim (refer to the images for more detail).
