~ Chilean Contract French Made M1890 Pattern Cavalry Sabre ~

The blade is of steel with a square cross section, the faint stamp is for Mole of Birmingham. The scabbard and handle are of briar wood with brass fittings. These pieces were used for personal protection and for poking bales to detect contraband.

~ Condition ~

Please refer to the images for condition. The blade is pitted and has some minor loss to the edges.

~ Dimensions ~

The sword stick has a total length of 76 cm (30 inches) and the blade is 69 cm (27 inches).
