Catherine of Aragon (1485-1536) was Queen of England from 1509 until 1533 as the first wife of King Henry VIII.

This is a beautifully hand crafted and hand painted porcelain character jug of Catherine of Aragon made by Royal Doulton.

The handle is fashioned as the Tower of London.

This jug was issued between 1975 and 1989.

The base of the jug is stamped ‘Hand Made and Hand Decorated, Royal Doulton, Catherine of Aragon D6643, Royal Doulton Tableware, Limited 1975’ and has a stamped signature of the designer.

The jug is in great condition with no chips or cracks and has very minimal wear. The base stamp is somewhat worn.
