The metal sextant is still in its original grey painted finish. As well as the sextant there are numerous extras such as filters., a brush and an oil bottle. The case comes with its key and the lock works well. Under the lid is an 'Admiralty Compass Observatory' certificate of observability dated to 5-11-86.
