~ c1910 Moorcroft Blue Poppies Pattern Vase ~

The vase has the blue poppies pattern to the top half with a banded decoration to the lower half. These are over a graduated blue background.

It is backstamped 'Made In England' and 'Moorcroft' with William Moorcroft's signature in blue.

It is an academically interesting piece of Moorcroft as it marks the transition from MacIntyre Florian Ware patterns to more modern 1930s designs such as 'Eventide'.

~ Condition ~

The glaze has minimal crazing and no cracks.

There is a tiny area of lost glaze to the rim.

The vase is 18cm (7 inches) tall and has a maximum diameter of 16cm (6.2 5inches).
