~ c1890 Sterling Silver Mounted Notebook & Mechanical Pencil ~
The notebook has a black leather exterior with sterling silver sprung hinge and corners.
The interior is of a soft brown leather with stamp pockets and removable notepad also with sterling silver spine.
The silver is hallmarked throughout for London, 1890 with the makers mark of ‘W&CoLd’.
The notebook comes with a sterling silver mechanical pencil bearing the name of the maker ‘S. Mordan & Co’ (Sampson Mordan).
~ Dimensions ~
The notebook measures 11cm by 7cm.
The pencil has a length of 10cm.
Together they weigh 115g
~ Condition ~
There are a couple of minor marks to the leather outer and there are a couple of missing pins which hold the silver hinge in place though this does not cause any real issues.
There is a slight split to the leather pencil holder.
The notebook has some missing leaves.
Overall the piece is in very good condition for its age.
