The tapestry is depicting a couple in a cottage, the lady is sewing away seated on a rocking chair and he is puffing on a pipe.

The workmanship is very detailed with lots of different sewing techniques.

They are presented in period gilt frames.

The tapestries are 11 inches (28 cm) tall and 9.2 inches (23.5 cm) wide.

The frames are 14.6 inches (37.3 cm) tall, 12.8 inches (32.4 cm) wide and 1 inch (2.5 cm) deep.

The set weighs 2.5 kg.

~ Condition ~

The tapestry work is excellent. The colours are unusually fresh, particularly the reds.

Both frames are in average condition with signs of wear and missing slivers, as seen in the images.
