~ Bronze & Oak Model Of A Mid Eighteen Century Field Cannon Made c1900 ~

A circa 1900 cast bronze and oak model of a mid eighteen century field cannon.

This superb example has four rings and is decorated with a crowned G II R (George Rex 2) cypher. The carriage is made of simple but beautiful oak with a turning elevation screw, which is fully functional.

The wheels are made also from oak reinforce with brass rims. The towing hitch with handles is also of brass.

This is an ornamental piece only, the touch hole is not drilled through to the chamber.

~ Dimensions ~

The barrel length is 6 inches (15.2 cm) and the overall length is 10 inches (25.4 cm).

The wheels diameter is 3.2 inches (8.3 cm).

The piece weighs 0.644 Kg.

~ Condition ~

The model is in very good condition. The cypher has lost some definition due to prior polishing, all other details are crisp. The wheels rotate freely.
