*British, WWII-Era, Sheffield-Made Fighting Knife with Leather Sheath*
A well-made unmarked Sheffield-produced fighting knife, likely dating to the WWII or early postwar period. The blade is of double-edged dagger form, measuring approximately 15.5 cm (6.1 inches), with an overall length of 26.5 cm (10.4 inches). The crossguard is oval steel, and the stacked leather washer grip is finished with red/green fibre spacers and an alloy pommel secured with a hexagonal nut to the tang.
The knife is housed in its original black leather sheath, which features five brass rivets and an intact belt loop with retaining strap (though the strap shows edge wear). The sheath is stamped "Sheffield, England", confirming British manufacture.
*Condition*
Blade is clean with light age-related marks and no serious damage. Guard and pommel show some oxidation and wear. The stacked leather grip is in good condition with minor wear to the spacers. The leather sheath is solid with visible wear and cracking to the strap but retains all stitching and rivets. Please refer to photographs as part of the condition report.
