*British, WW2, 1939–1945, Atlantic Star Medal, with Original Ribbon*
This is an original Second World War Atlantic Star, awarded by the United Kingdom to commemorate operational service in the Atlantic theatre between 3 September 1939 and 8 May 1945. The medal features a six-pointed bronze star bearing the crowned cipher "GRI VI" (for King George VI) surrounded by the inscription THE ATLANTIC STAR. The reverse is plain, as issued.
The ribbon is the correct original type, displaying shaded bands of blue, white, and sea green, representing the Royal Navy, merchant seamen, and the ocean.
*Condition*
The medal is in good vintage condition with an even aged patina to the bronze surface. The ribbon shows signs of wear, fading, and some fraying at the top edge, consistent with age and display. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
