*British, WW1, Original Rifle Brigade (The Prince Consort's Own) White Metal Cap Badge, King's Crown*
Die struck white metal badge. Worn 1910 - 1937, carrying 16 battle honours (fourteen on the scroll) - 15 Peninsula War battle honour scrolls and Waterloo. The inner circlet is inscribed "Rifle Brigade". (The regiment was finally entitled to 16 battle honours for the Peninsular war but "Pyrenees" was not granted until 1910 - after the badge was designed).

In good used condition. The slide/lugs to the rear is missing. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
