~ British WW1 Circa 1918 Trench Periscope Dixey Of London Original Canvas Cover ~

The top flat is stamped Dixey, Bond St (for street), London. It is fitted with a wooden handle and the exterior is painted in a khaki brown. What makes it special is it still has its original canvas case, stamped with the broad arrow, has a carrying strap.

~ Condition ~

The periscope works well, the mirrors have minor loss to the silvering. The paint on the outside is worn. There handle has a short surface crack. The canvas case is in good order.

~ Dimensions ~

The periscope is 57.5 cm (22.5 inches) long including the handle with a diameter of 5 cm (2 inches).
