*British, Original Westmorland & Cumberland Yeomanry Cap Badge, Kings Crown, Brass Slide*
An original and scarce post 1908 die stamped brass with original slider to reverse. The design is three sprigs of heather within an oval band surrounded by laurel wreaths with a King's crown above. This pattern was discarded in the early 1920s when the unit adopted the Royal Artillery cap badge. This unit was 17th in the order of precedence of yeomanry regiments. First raised in 1830.
