The British India Pattern Catch Socket Bayonet was a bayonet used by the British Army in India during the mid-19th century. It had a blade length of 18 inches and was designed to fit the Pattern 1853 Enfield rifle. It was known for its simple but effective design and was used in various colonial conflicts. This bayonet is stamped ‘B, D.1 64’.
*Condition*
Both the bayonet and scabbard are in very good condition. The brass and leather on the scabbard are well kept. The bayonet has some light historical pitting that reflects its age. Please refer to the images as a part of our condition report.
