*British, WW1 Era Heavy Machete, Maker marked "WHJ & Co Ltd*
A vintage horn handled machete. Steel blade with triple fuller to both sides, upturned to end. Horn slab grips, secured by 3 iron rivets. Faint makers mark to the blade looks like a wild cat (possibly a puma) with a bayonet "W H J & Co Ltd". The same logo has also been found with the letters "GWH." Scabbard is absent. Approximately 59.5cm length, blade length 45cm.
*Condition*
This machete is in good used condition with some rusting to the blade. The blade has an all over dark patina and minor pitting. There is some wear to the horn handle but it is still very secure. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
