*British, Falklands Era, Military Issue Type D Survival Knife (unmarked), with Leather Sheath dated 1979 by Hopkinson of Sheffield*

Approximate measurements: 18cm blade, 31.5cm overall

A nice Type ‘D’ survival knife, as issued by the British military in the Falklands era but without any markings. Heavy, seven inch single edged blade, full tang with hardwood grips secured with three large copper rivets.

It is complete with its’ army issued leather sheath,  marked “H” within a diamond makers mark for Hopkinson of Sheffield, broad arrow, 1979, stores number  1278215.

*Condition*
The Survival Knife is in excellent condition with signs of service wear. The blade has a very keen edge. The Leather sheath is in good condition with age related wear and tear and some of the studs are rusted, stitching is all intact. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
