British Artillery Officer’s Spadroon Circa 1786

18th Century British Officer’s Sword

Out of stock

This is an artillery officer’s spadroon from around the late 18th century/Napoleonic era. The exact maker is unknown to us but the sword heavily resembles the 1786/1796 Pattern Infantry Officer’s swords. This particular sword is in excellent condition for its age and comes complete with its original scabbard. The pommel features the image of a heavy artillery cannon and the crossguard and pommel are decorated with leaf pattern. The grip is sturdy and wire wound.

*Condition*

This spadroon is in excellent condition. There is some slight pitting across the blade and the metal parts of the hilt and scabbard have some minor marks. Please see pictures for more detail.
