British 1943 Sextant by Heath & Co.

This is a World War 2 era sextant made by Heath & Co and certified by the National Physical Laboratory. The sextant is an instrument for determining the angle between the horizon and a celestial body such as the Sun, Moon, or star. It was used in celestial navigation to determine latitude and longitude. The device consists of an arc of a circle, marked off in degrees, and a movable radial arm pivoted at the centre of the circle.

~Condition~

This sextant is in great condition with all parts working smoothly. There are very few minor marks. The box has a few marks and scratches on the surface. Please see pictures for more detail.
