This bayonet was crafted for use with the .577 calibre Enfield rifles and features a triangular blade measuring approximately 17 inches in length. The socket was designed to fit snugly over the rifle's muzzle and has a locking clip. With its sturdy construction and effective design, this bayonet became a staple for British soldiers during notable conflicts like the Crimean War. This particular bayonet is complete with original leather, brass-mounted scabbard.

This bayonet is in excellent condition for an item of its age. The blade has a relatively light patina with no significant damage and the scabbard remains undamaged. Please see pictures for more detail.
