LHS of the breech stamped 'FAB NAT ARMES DE GUERRE HERSTAL BELGIQUE'.

This Mauser carbine was produced under license by Fabrique Nationale (FN) of Belgium. FN established itself as a major exporter of firearms during the period between the two World Wars. Production of this rifle continued through WW2, after Germany invaded and took over the factory.

The FN Model 1924 series is a line of Mauser Gewehr 98 pattern bolt-action rifles produced by the Belgian Fabrique Nationale. They are similar to the Czech vz. 24 rifle. This pattern rifle was discontinued from production and was no longer offered after 1932 being totally replaced by the 1930 pattern.

Deactivated to old spec it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired. Please see photographs as part of the condition report.
