~ Art Nouveau Period Stoneware Royal Doulton Hunting Scene Candle Sticks ~
This fine yet practical pair of stoneware candlesticks have been moulded & decorated in the Art Nouveau style. The neck & base have been decorated with a fine hunting scene, with mounted huntsmen & dogs hunting amongst the trees & grass. The pair both have broad slopping drip trays.
The bases have been impressed with the ‘Royal Doulton’ factory stamps, 7696 & BB3 codes, and “X7004 14” hand scribed.
~ Dimensions ~
The candlesticks have a height of 9 inches (22.8 cm). The bases have a diameter of 6 inches (15.2 cm). The set weighs 1.97 kg: One weighs 975 g, the other weighs 995g.
~ Condition ~
One of the candlesticks has a long hairline crack rising along the base, it does not affect the stem. The sticks remain in otherwise good order.
