A Scottish Dirk with 11.5-inch fullered steel blade with toothed saw-back, typical carved plaited bog oak grip with claw-set smoky-quartz pommel, the leather scabbard with en-suite matching knife and fork, the black leather scabbard with silver plated mouthpiece lockets cast with thistles and the Macdonald family crest of’a Dexter arm in armour holding a cross crosslet fitched with motto ‘per mere perras’ by sea, by land’.
*Condition*
Overall the dirk and scabbard are in good condition. On the blade there is some light historical pitting and scratches on the blade. The hand grip is in fantastic condition. The scabbard is well preserved with only a small wear on the leather at the top. Please refer to the images as a part of our condition report.
