Antique copper and brass James Dixon & Sons stamped powder flask. Marked James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield to the spout. Length: 19cm and width: 8.5cm.

Founded in 1806 in Sheffield, James Dixon & Sons emerged as a prominent British manufacturer during the Industrial Revolution. Specializing in pewter ware, electroplated Britannia metal, silverware, and electroplated nickel silver, they produced a diverse range of products for kitchens, dining rooms, and shooting accessories. Initially situated on Silver Street (1806) and later at Cornish Place (1822) in Sheffield, the family-run enterprise thrived until 1976.
