~ American US Vintage "Hunter" Leather Revolver Holster – Black Leather, Belt Loop Fitting ~
Offered here is an original American-made leather revolver holster, manufactured by Hunter, one of the best-known U.S. holster makers of the 20th century.
Maker’s Mark: Clear “Hunter” logo impressed into the leather on the reverse, along with the size code 16. Brass rivets and fasteners are also stamped with “Hunter.”
Material: Quality black leather with double stitching and reinforced brass rivets.
Design: Belt loop fitting, designed for carrying medium-to-large frame revolvers. The profile suggests suitability for revolvers such as Colt or Smith & Wesson .38/.357 models with barrels in the 5–6" range.
Condition: Good overall, with signs of use, wear, and scuffs consistent with age. Stitching remains strong and the leather supple, though naturally aged.
These holsters were widely used in the 1950s–1970s by law enforcement, hunters, and civilian shooters across the United States, making them collectible examples of mid-20th century American gun leather.
