One of the weapons that the Albanian infantry received was the Chinese copy of the AKM, the Type 56.  At first, the Albanians used the Type 56s as they were, but they gradually made their own modifications to suit their local needs, thus creating essentially a new set of AKM variants.  The Albanian military refers to these rifles as the Type I, II, and III Assault Rifles; however, the troops generally call all of them (including unmodified 56s) AK-47s anyway.

*Condition*

This AKM is in great condition with a few knocks and marks to the wooden parts. The stock has the name “Spane” inscribed along with the date “20.8.95” and three holes in the reverse. Please see pictures for more detail as they form part of our condition report.
