~ Afghan 1858 Pattern 2 Band Enfield ~

The musket is a native copy of the 1858 pattern 2 band Enfield but without the rifling and hinged rear site. It was probably used by allied tribesman in Afghanistan.

The barrel is stamped 272.

~ Condition ~

The musket half cocks, cocks and releases correctly. The woodwork has seen much active use, there is a split to on the left hand side just before the rear site. The barrel is pitted.

~ Dimensions ~

The musket is 116 cm (46.5 inches) in total length.
