~ A Victorian Whitby Jet & 9 Ct Gold Brooch ~
This lovely brooch is made from the English black stone - Jet - and sits in a 9 carat yellow gold decorative frame. The brooch has the simple 'C' type catch.
There are no hallmarks but it has been acid tested for gold.
~ Dimensions ~
The brooch is 1 inch (2.5cm) long by 0.4 inches (1cm) wide. It weighs 2.8 grams.
~ Condition ~
Aside from minimal surface wear, the brooch is in excellent condition.
