This is a good example of a Swiss double-edged, high-quality steel with raised medial rib bayonet, manufactured between 1918 and the end of the Second World War.

These models were made for the Schmidt-Rubin service rifles and the K31 Carbine.

As with other Swiss bayonets, they are exceptionally well made.

Our example is manufactured by "WAFFENFABRIK NEUHAUSEN" (Neuhausen is a city located in Switzerland near the German border), as it is stamped on the blade.

The cross guard bears serial number '533128' and the inspectors mark '51' above the Swiss cross.

It comes with its factory proof marked all-metal "blued" scabbard and brown leather frog.

*Condition*

The blade formed a bit of surface rust but is easy to clean. All the other metal components are fine.

The bayonet also developed some surface rust and lost most of its blue.
