A large late 19th century copper ships kettle by John Phillips & Co., Anderston Quay, Glasgow, of rounded rectangular form, impressed marks, 37cm high x 40cm wide. This would have been used all day every day while at sea and in the harbour and so would have had a tough life. This particular kettle seems to have survived quite well with only minor character building marks.

~ Condition ~

In well used condition with all the dents and knocks and patina which come with a working life at sea.
