The kukri knife has a dark wooden handle. The wooden handle has a small lined pattern etched into the grip.

The Kukri (or khukuri) is a heavy, curved knife used as both tool and weapon. It is also a part of the regimental weaponry and heraldry of Gurkha Brigade.

The sheath also holds three smaller knives including the karda and the chakmak (the karda is for skinning. The charmak is used to sharpen the blade and it can also be used to start a fire with flint) as well as a pick & a file.

~ Dimensions ~

The blade on the khukri measures 13.5 inches (34.3 cm) long with the knife measuring 18 inches (44.6 cm) long total, 18.5 inches (47 cm) whilst in its scabbard.

The smallest knife has a blade length of 2.2 inches (5.6 cm) & an overall length of 4.2 inches (10.6 cm).

The second knife has a blade length of 2.5 inches (6.3 cm) & an overall length of 4.3 inches (11 cm).

The biggest knife has a blade length of 2.6 inches (6.5 cm) & an overall length of 4.5 inches (11.4 cm).

The file has a length of 4.2 inches (10.6 cm).
The pick has a length of 5.1 inches (12.9 cm).
The set weighs weighs 875 g.

~ Condition ~

The main khukri blade has some blackening but remains largely clean. The other blades show signs of rust and pitting. The leather scabbard is dry but it hasn’t cracked or torn at all.
