The P1900 was the last regulation pattern cutlass for the Royal Navy. It is similar to the Pattern 1889 Cutlass, but has several notable differences. The swords share similar 28 inch blades, but the P1900 has a short fuller near the bottom half of the blade. A heavy sword, but not unwieldy, weighing in at about 2.5 lbs. The P1900 was officially withdrawn from service in 1936.

An excellent example of the 1900P British navy cutlass, made by Mole, complete with leather and steel scabbard.  The inspector and manufacturer marked 28 inch blade is firm in the hilt, and slides firm in and out of the scabbard.

*Condition*

The blade is in excellent order with only minor pitting and a good edge, the grip and guard show signs of a busy life at sea with pitting and to the guard, the grips are solid and undamaged.

The scabbard has a matt finish and the toe section has a half tear but it is all together and the steel parts are lightly pitted.
