A superb quality Elizabeth II period 'Royal Navy and Merchant Services naval crown brooch in 9ct gold.

The brooch is in the form of a naval crown, (a crown with sails), set with 27 small pearls.

It is complete with original pin fitting, safety roller catch and safety chain.

The brooch is hallmarked for 9ct gold, Birmingham, 1968 and maker's mark of 'J.W.B' (J W Benson Ltd London). It was original retailed by Gieves of Savile Row, London.

The pearls measure between 1mm in diameter and 1.5mm in diameter each.

The brooch measures 23mm by 13mm.

It weighs 3.3g.

The brooch is in very nice condition. All pearls present and the clasp works well.
