A nice quality 9ct gold Bakers ‘Perm-Point’ propelling pencil.
The pencil is of heptagonal (7 sided) form with machine turned engraving and has a blank cartouche to one side presumably for a personal engraving.
It is fitted with a clip for attaching to a pocket (also of 9ct gold) and has a removable end for spare lead storage. The removable end reads ‘Bakers Perm-Point’.
It is hallmarked for 9ct gold, Birmingham, 1939 (or possibly 1914) and has a makers mark of ‘E.B’.

The pencil has a length of 12cm (4 ¾ inches) and weighs 21.1g.
~ Condition ~
The pencil is in a very nice condition with only a couple of light marks from use but no dents or damges. It is in full working order.
