A pretty ring of 9ct gold set with a single, oval cabochon opal, 10 small round-cut rubies and 10 small round-cut diamonds.

The rubies and diamonds are claw set alternately around the circumference of the opal giving the ring a flower-head look.

The stones are mounted in a raised platinum gallery upon a plain gold band.

The ring is hallmarked for 9ct gold, Birmingham, 1988.
