~ 19th Century American Kentucky Percussion Rifle With Octagonal Barrel ~

The rifle is fulling stocked with a small section of chequering behind the lock. The small bore barrel is octagonal in cross section with both fore and rear end sights. The slightly re-curved brass trigger guard has an acorn finial. The reverse side of the lock plate has embossed brass scroll work. It comes with its steel ramrod. It is not signed.

~ Condition ~

The lock cocks and releases with a strong spring. It is not fitted with a half cock position. The stock is complete with out any significant loss (just a few minor chips) or cracks, just the usual bruising. The guard and the side plate each have a steel pin missing, easily remedied.

~ Dimensions ~

The rifle is 102 cm (40 inches) in total length and has a 64 cm (25.25 inches) barrel.
