A middle of the 20th century limed oak coronation stool for the coronation of Elizabeth II. The stool has square chamfered legs with a tassel toe, the underside is branded 'ER Coronation' and the other side of the underframe 'Waring & Gillow 1953'.
It has the original blue upholstery and a later protective cloth cover.
