~ Sommerso ~

Sommerso (Italian for "submerged") is a famous Murano glass technique where layers of colored glass are submerged and fused within a clear glass casing, creating distinct, often vibrant color layers without them mixing,  a style popularized in the 1930s by Carlo Scarpa and the 1950s by Flavio Poli, resulting in beautiful, deep-colored art glass pieces.
