~ 1931 Ladies Silver & Enamel Royal Marines Compact ~
A fine circular silver ladies compact decorated with the Royal Marines colours and badge.
The lid is enamelled with the Royal Marines colours and has the silver crest with globe and wreath with crown and lion atop attached to the front.
The reverse is plain but for the hallmark.
To the inside of the compact is the mirror and there is part of the old make up holder.
The compact is hallmarked to the reverse for Birmingham silver, 1931 with a makers mark of ‘JWB’. There is also a hallmark to the lid.
The compact comes with a small cloth bag for protection.

The compact has a diameter of 5cm.
It weighs 46g.
~ Condition ~
The enamel has a little light scratching as does the inside of the compact but overall the piece is in a very nice condition. The hallmark is rather worn.
