A full page advertisement from the London Illustrated News dated 23^rd December, 1911.

The advertisement is for Players Navy Cut Tobacco and Navy Cut Cigarettes with artwork by William Lionel Wyllie R.A.

There are two images of Wyllie’s, one of ‘HMS Bellerophon’ and the other showing ‘The Second Cruiser Squadron in the North Sea’.

As this was from a newspaper, the reverse also has text with an advert for ‘Pears’ soap.

The page measures 38cm (15 inches) by 28cm (11 inches).

~ Condition ~

The item is in superb condition for its age with no damage and only the lightest hint of discolouration to the edges of the paper.
