The underside reads 'Souvenir Of SS August Victoria's Cruise To The Orient 1903'.

It is decorated in repousse with garlands of flowers.

The interior has a gilt finish.

The interior rim of the lid bears hallmarks and the makers name of 'Wilkens'.
