A beautifully made personal protection piece dating from approximately 1780-1800 having the sought after cannon barrel, wooden grip and an integrated bayonet deployed by pulling back the trigger guard, this one also has a safety catch. This would have been used by ladies or gents when stepping out to protect themselves foot pads and highwaymen of the period.

 

*Condition*  

In excellent order for its age, it has a strong 2 stage action and the bayonet is spring loaded and works perfectly, as does the safety catch.
