~ 19th Century The Royal African Company/East India Company Unusual Size Brown Bess Musket ~

An exceptional example of a resized, caliber .62 with a length of 38 1/2 inches.

The barrel is stamped with a pair of proof marks and number 30.

The lockplate is engraved with the Elephant and reads Warranted.

The wooden slock is decorated with a brass cartoush.

The ramrod is present.

~ Condition ~

The musket is in excellent condition, it half-cocks, cocks and fires.

There is a slight sideways play on the hammer.
