~ 18th Century Apothecary Bronze Mortar With Handles And Banding ~
This is an early bronze mortar with flared body turned with ribs and knob like handles. The lines which appear decorative are for measuring. There are concentric circles on the underside.
There is no pestle.

The mortar is 4.5 inches (11cm) high with the lip diameter of 4.5 inches (11cm) and the base diameter of 3.5 inches (9cm).
The total weight is 2.56 Kg.
~ Condition ~
The mortar is in great antique condition with a good old patina. There are a couple of small nicks to the top edge.
