A nice quality Royal Doulton Lambeth  jug commemorating the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897.

The single handled bulbous form jug features two relief portraits of Victoria (young & old) with raised floral decoration all in a green, brown and royal blue colourway.

Around the circumference are the legends ‘Dei Gratia – Victoria – Queen & Empress’ and ‘She wrought her people lasting good’ along with the dates of her reign ‘1837-1897’ .

The jug bears the ‘Doulton Lambeth England’ stamp and pattern no. ‘7603’ to the underside.

The jug has a diameter of 14cm (5 ½ inches) and a height of 18.5cm (7 ¼ inches).
