The six shot pistol has a steel body, spur trigger, walnut grip, brass foresight and lanyard ring (which also doubles as a screw tool).

The top flap is stamped L. W. POND. WORCESTER PATD JULY 10 1860.

The pistol is 23 cm (9 inches) in total length with a 12.5 cm (5 inches) barrel.
