~ 1854 Pattern Grenadier Guards Officers Sword And Leather Scabbard By Wheeler & Co Of London ~

The sword is etched with the Kings crown so it is most likely a WW1 piece. It is also etched for the 'Artillery Company'.

The ricasso is etched for 'Wheeler & Co, 14 Foultry, London. E.C.'.

~ Condition ~

Please refer to the images for the condition.

The sword can be best described as in 'barn find' condition. There is significant corrosion to the blade and guard.

The grip is complete, all parts are firm, the blade is free from nicks. The scabbard is also quite worn with loss to the tip, the belt has a tear in it.

~ Dimensions ~

The sword is 97cm (38 inches) in total length with a 83cm (32.5 inches) blade.
